How Freight Insider handles newsletter, membership, payment and support information.

Who is responsible

Young Shields operates Freight Insider and is responsible for the personal information described here. Address: Løgæblevej 1 3TH, 2500 Valby, Denmark. CVR 46520254. Contact mail@freightinsider.co for a privacy question or rights request.

What we use

This may include your email address, name and business details; account and sign-in records; subscription status, invoices and tax details; selected saved readings; support correspondence; and technical delivery, access and security records. Stripe collects payment-card details on its hosted pages. Our website forms do not collect card numbers. Please do not send passwords, sign-in codes, card details or confidential customer material to support.

The free weekly briefing

Kit confirms your request and sends the free briefing on the basis of your opt-in consent. You can withdraw that consent using its unsubscribe link. Signing in, making an enquiry or purchasing a membership does not add you to the free briefing. We do not import a personal address book into the audience.

Membership and paid updates

We use account, payment and delivery information to supply the membership you buy, provide receipts and support, and check that paid access belongs to the correct account. The verified account email is used for paid analysis notifications and is recorded with the payment customer separately from later billing-contact changes. Kit delivers those notices and protected reading links. These notices do not add unrelated marketing. Kit's unsubscribe control stops the email messages it covers; it does not cancel subscription renewal. Billing and cancellation are managed through the member account.

Why we process information

Our legal bases are performance of a contract where you are the contracting person; our legitimate interests in supplying accounts to an organisation's authorised readers, responding to enquiries and protecting the service; legal duties for billing, tax and accounting records; and consent for the optional free briefing. Account and billing information necessary to supply a paid service is required for that service. The free briefing is optional.

Service providers

Stripe handles hosted payments, tax calculations, invoices and billing management. Kit handles newsletter and member-email delivery. Supabase handles account identity and private saved work; Resend sends account verification and sign-in emails; Render hosts the platform and API; Cloudflare hosts and protects the marketing site and provides domain/mail routing. Google email services handle our support inbox. Authorised administration may use OpenAI Codex to maintain the service and prepare delivery operations. Relevant operational information may be processed through those tools when needed. We do not publish subscriber identities, private saved readings or billing records.

Technical information and email measurement

The public marketing website has no advertising trackers or analytics cookies. The signed-in platform and provider-hosted forms use technical storage needed for authentication and service operation. Email providers process delivery, bounce and unsubscribe information and may record email opens or link clicks through their standard email features. Kit's optional subscriber-ID, hashed-email and UTM additions to reading links are disabled. Email-provider measurement is distinct from advertising tracking on our website.

International processing

Some providers and their subprocessors operate outside the European Economic Area. Their processing terms describe the roles and transfer arrangements relevant to their services. Information is available from Kit, Stripe, Supabase, Resend and the other providers' privacy resources. Contact us for information about safeguards relevant to your data; this notice does not claim that all processing stays in Denmark or the EEA.

How long information is kept

We keep account, reading and support information while it is needed to supply and support the requested service, then delete or anonymise it when no longer needed, subject to legal duties, security requirements and the defence of claims. Unsubscribe requests may leave a limited suppression record to prevent unwanted re-mailing. Accounting material is normally retained for five years after the end of the financial year it concerns, as required by Danish bookkeeping rules. A deletion request does not remove records we must lawfully retain; we explain any applicable restriction when responding.

Your choices and rights

You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability where applicable, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can withdraw optional newsletter consent at any time, without changing the lawfulness of earlier processing. We may need to verify an account or identity before disclosing private information. Contact mail@freightinsider.co. You can also complain to the Danish Datatilsynet.

Changes

This notice describes the current service and stated membership route. We update it when relevant processing changes and identify the date above. A privacy notice does not grant paid access or change the subscription price or cancellation terms.
